Hello, my name is Steve Cherry, and I created San Diego Employer because Human Resources really shines when professionals work as though they are serving and helping people of a community, not just numbers and metrics. The HR and Recruiting professionals in our group are here representing all facets of the San Diego business community, and they do this because they are passionate about their community, and about excellent business practices.
San Diego Employer is a unique partnership of local business professionals that voluntarily share and collaborate to help one another succeed. Many of us have been meeting in San Diego conference rooms and via web mailing lists for more than a decade just to learn from each other and to share candidate resumes.
San Diego Employer is designed to be an extremely low-overhead production. There are no yearly fees or membership dues to join. All we ask is that you contribute and share your valuable knowledge and candidates with other businesses (yes, it even works for competitors!).
Because we are a volunteer community organization, all of our server space, web design and infrastructure are created by volunteer hours and resources. If you are a local HR professional, or a local business that would like to be a part of our effort via sponsorship, please consider joining us to do your part in making San Diego Employer a success.
